Thanks, Bryan; I’d begun to wonder if comments worked, even after I tested them.
Sometimes I am concerned that Samantha may fill out the cushion along the other diagonal as well. Yesterday morning, Stella put out food for both cats; this morning, Samantha led me to the kitchen to point out that one bowl was completely empty. And just looking at the two of them, it’s not Tabitha doing the eating!
Stella tried that; it’s impossible, given that Tabitha is on the thin side, and even the new, larger apartment has only one suitable place to feed the cats. The cats never fight over food, but Samantha certainly gets the (ahem) lion’s share.
BTW, Bryan, you’ll be happy to know that I’ve stopped requiring moderation of comments. I’m now at the mercy of WordPress’s comment spam abatement, whatever it is they do. But it was just too inconvenient, for you and for me, when I had to approve every post.

There is diet food for cats, but it doesn’t work if only one cat needs it.
